OTHER THINGS TO SEE AND DO IN NORTHERN ARIZONA
Northern Arizona offers a wealth of options for having a phenomenal outdoor experience. Grand Canyon is only approximately 2 hours away, which makes it an excellent destination to combine with Sedona. Inside the Grand Canyon, but outside the national park, is the Havasupai Indian Reservation – home of the famous Havasupai Waterfalls. With stunning, turquoise water welling up from an ancient spring and flowing peacefully down canyon, it is an idyllic and tranquil place. But with some excitement too. The tranquility is punctuated by 5 incredible waterfalls, the tallest over 200 feet high!
Fossil Creek is another destination worth possibly checking out. It has similar water to Havasupai but is a bit more accessible and the waterfalls aren’t as dramatic. Two more must-see highlights of Northern Arizona are Wupatki National Monument and Sunset Crater, both amazing destinations for natural and cultural history as well as trekking and walking.
