Sophia S.

Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Sophia first fell in love with the outdoors during summers spent in the Smoky Mountains with family as a child. She went on to receive a Bachelor’s in Environmental Geoscience with a concentration in Marine and Coastal Science from Smith College. She completed two seasons with Montana Conservation Corps, first as a crew member and then as a crew lead, working on wildfire mitigation, trail construction, and other conservation projects in the greater Yellowstone area and beyond. Sophia is passionate about conserving the beautiful places where we recreate, and seeking creative inspiration from the natural world. She loves trail running and climbing in her free time, and enjoys sharing outdoor adventures with others.”
