Jay L.
Jay (he/him) grew up in central Massachusetts, and from an early age going out of his way to find natural spaces to explore. His love of the outdoors and passion for community led him to graduate from Prescott College with degrees in both Adventure Education, and Wilderness and Outdoor-based Therapy, where he started to spend extensive time in wilderness settings. It was here that Jay learned that a life deeply connected with outdoor spaces was the only life for him. As a hiking/backpacking guide, he strives to provide guests with a safe, and accepting environment to foster meaningful, thoughtful connections with natural spaces. When he isn’t at Wildland, Jay can be found climbing a variety of trad routes, soaking up the sun by the ocean, or practicing his harp.
