Dara A.
Dara grew up hiking and biking with her family in the Shawangunk Mountains and learned early on that she enjoyed spending her days outside. After graduating from college in New York State she completed a semester long National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) course in the Rocky Mountains and realized she wanted to work in a field where she could share her love of the outdoors with others. Since then she has worked in environmental and outdoor education teaching hands-on science classes in central and northern Vermont. She is a fully certified Alpine Ski Instructor and loves to ski, preferably in the woods, and teach in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Dara recently completed a through hike of Vermont’s Long Trail and, she loves the simplicity of living out of a backpack and sharing that experience with others. On time off she can be found hiking and backcountry skiing with her two dogs or gardening at home in Northern Vermont.
