Daniel C.
Daniel grew up in the Southern Appalachian mountains and enjoyed getting outdoors from an early age. After his first job in the outdoor industry as a raft guide in North Carolina he knew that he wanted to continue to help others connect to nature. He graduated from Western Carolina University with a degree in Parks and Recreation Management in 2016. After school he spent a season in Australia guiding wilderness expeditions for teenagers that included backpacking, rock climbing, and canoeing. Upon returning to the States he began working as a Wilderness Therapy guide in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. In 2018 he moved to Western Washington and continued guiding for at-risk youth in the Olympic Mountains. Near his home in Port Angeles, Daniel also guides sea kayaking tours and he has spent time working with the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe’s youth and traditional culture programs. Daniel’s other passion besides the outdoors is playing music. He plays in a band in Port Angeles.
