Camilla O.

Camilla grew up in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois and studied English Literature at Boston University. She moved to Phoenix in 2009 and fell in love with the other-worldly landscape of the American Southwest. After living abroad in Australia and New Zealand, Camilla thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2019 and the trajectory of her life changed. Being on trail working towards a singular goal while overcoming obstacles and building authentic connections felt therapeutic and character building. Camilla then spent nearly two years working and living outdoors in Utah as a field mentor for a wilderness therapy program for young adults, receiving a Wilderness First Responder certification as well as lead guide status.

In 2022 Camilla completed a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail and hopes to finish her Triple Crown one day. When she isn’t outside hiking or camping, Camilla can be found reading, writing, baking vegan treats, climbing, swimming, scuba diving, , and exploring new countries.
