Weather in Bryce Canyon National Park
Perched at over 8,000 ft in elevation, Bryce towers above the surrounding canyon-laden countryside. Characterized by a notable variance in weather conditions, it is wise to wear layers that can be changed to suit the temperature extremes. Hats and skin protection are recommended year-round, as high-altitude sun, and unforeseen wind or precipitation can materialize any day of the year. Be sure to double-check the area’s forecast as your adventure draws near.
Spring and Fall tend to be pleasant, with daytime highs in the 50’s and 60’s, and evening lows around or below freezing. Summer high temperatures peak around 80 degrees, with evenings in the upper 40’s. Winter days might barely climb above freezing, and nights can drop to near or below zero. March is historically the snowiest month, but winter storms might frequent the plateau from October through April. Afternoon thunderstorms tend to arise in mid- to late summer.

My trip to Bryce with guide Taylor was amazing. Taylor was very knowledgeable and has a great personality. She was a pleasure to talk to which kept me from focusing on the effort involved in the hike and instead enjoyed the beauty of the setting and the conversation. She knew all the interesting spots to see and facts about the area.

Highly recommend hiring a guide! Taylor was amazing! We just had to follow and didn’t have to think about which trails to take in Bryce Canyon plus we learned about the canyon on the trip. Not having to pack lunch was also a bonus! Thank you for an amazing experience!
