Weather in Bryce Canyon National Park

Perched at over 8,000 ft in elevation, Bryce towers above the surrounding canyon-laden countryside. Characterized by a notable variance in weather conditions, it is wise to wear layers that can be changed to suit the temperature extremes. Hats and skin protection are recommended year-round, as high-altitude sun, and unforeseen wind or precipitation can materialize any day of the year. Be sure to double-check the area’s forecast as your adventure draws near.

Spring and Fall tend to be pleasant, with daytime highs in the 50’s and 60’s, and evening lows around or below freezing. Summer high temperatures peak around 80 degrees, with evenings in the upper 40’s. Winter days might barely climb above freezing, and nights can drop to near or below zero. March is historically the snowiest month, but winter storms might frequent the plateau from October through April. Afternoon thunderstorms tend to arise in mid- to late summer.

I just relaxed and completely enjoyed the day!

We hiked with Samantha at Bryce. She was so patient and knowledgeable. She suggested sunrise to enjoy the hoodoos based in New light. It was amazing. She was accodating to our need to check out. We had a great hike, and she was very flexible as I recently hurt my knee. The hike was just amazing, Samantha added lots of interesting commentary. She was patient as we took eight million photos. Lunch was the perfect touch, being gluten free, she had a beautiful spread and delicious soup. What an absolutely perfect day.

What a great day!

Nolan was the best company we could have ever asked for! Fun, insightful and interesting. What a great lunch as well! Bryce itself is wonderful and I don’t think we could have asked for a better guide to take us around the park than Nolan. All the best from the UK!

Could not have asked for a better experience.

Nolan was simply unbelievable. It was the best hiking trip I have ever taken and he played such a large part in it. I could not possibly have asked for a better experience or a better guide. He is so good at his job. I would recommend him to family.
