Sara N.
Growing up outside of Yellowstone National Park, Sara’s appreciation of the natural world began at a
young age. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Archaeology and Native American Studies at the
University of Montana in Missoula, Montana. She continues to be fascinated with ancient cultures and
their relationship with the environment. While living in Montana, Sara hiked frequently and had many
adventures backpacking in Montana, Idaho and Wyoming.
Sara moved to Colorado in 2013 and earned a degree in Veterinary Technology and worked for 7 years
as a certified veterinary technician. All the while in Colorado she spent much of her free time hiking and
backpacking in Colorado’s front and backcountry.
Led by her love for animals and exploring nature, Sara moved back to Montana in 2020 and in 2021 she
became a hiking guide in Yellowstone. This seemed like a dream come true for her, she was able to
share her passion for the outdoors and educate others about our first national park. As winter
approached Sara made her way south to sunny Florida where she has been living since 2021 and
working as a manatee tour guide. In addition to guiding, Sara is a group leader for an organization which
specializes in volunteering for ethical wildlife projects worldwide. Sara has led groups in Costa Rica,
Namibia, with an upcoming trip to Thailand.
