Michael P.

Michael was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas where he learned a tolerance of nature through hiking, swimming, and general “putzing around outside.” Even after family road trips to several National Parks and becoming an Eagle Scout, nature was still in the back of his mind. In 2018 Michael graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre and started traveling the country with touring children’s theatres and regional theatres performing in over 25 states. In 2020 Michael and his husband set off on their first backpacking trip at Glacier National Park. He immediately was in love with it and the beautiful places it backpacking has taken him. Since then Michael has gone on several backpacking trips in Colorado, New York, Arkansas, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and especially Alaska where he has guided for three years. Michael’s love of nature is matched by his love of sharing it with others and helping people achieve things they never thought they would do. “Everyone deserves to be here and all should feel welcome in The Great Outdoors!”
