Dakota was raised on the trails of Northern Arizona. A Flagstaff local, Dakota was the child of an outdoor junkie and forest ranger and many a weekend were spent exploring the vastness of the Colorado Plateau with his dad. He fell in love with the rivers of the Southwest and began guiding white water rafting trips at the age of eighteen, spending the subsequent five years floating down river as much as possible. Though he still loves the Southwest’s scenic waterways, he has shifted his attention in recent years to exploring the many remote areas of the Colorado Plateau. When not guiding, Dakota likes to get back on the river, climb, and delve into the seldom traveled slot canyons of Arizona and Utah.
