A Grand Canyon Guide since 2008 (with Wildland since 2009) he has led over 250 treks into “the Canyon.” He is a graduate of the Canadian Outward Bound Wilderness School, the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) and earned a history degree from Penn State. He is former NOLS Field Instructor and was Wildland’s Field Staff Hiring Director (2015-16) and Philanthropy Director (2017-2026). He LOVES sharing the unique natural and human history of the Colorado Plateau and Rocky Mountain regions with others. Doug resides in Santa Fe.
