Rachel “Rach” grew up in the Colorado Rockies. Growing up, she had access to hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, and recreational trails in Colorado where her love of the outdoors began. At the University of Colorado Boulder, she became involved in botanical research and the CU Hiking Club. After graduation, Rach worked at Keystone Science School leading overnight trips with youth in the mountains of Summit County, Colorado. After several years with Keystone Science School, she lead two multi-sport, multi-night trips with Adventure Treks in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Now, she is a graduate student at the University of Washington. In her spare time, she loves to be outside, read, cook, and find live music. Rach believes in the true power that the outdoors have to gain a deeper connection with oneself, community, and nature.
