Jacob E.
Jacob grew up surrounded by concrete in Phoenix, Arizona, always yearning for forests, rivers, and mountains. Soon he moved to Flagstaff, Arizona to attend Northern Arizona University and spent as much time as he could wandering the woods. After completing a B.S. in Environmental Studies, Jacob pursued his childhood dream of becoming a firefighter. He worked as a wildland firefighter in the summers and for a Fire & EMS agency during the off season. After chasing fire, Jacob obtained a Masters in Sustainable Communities and found his calling in taking people outside. In addition to scholarly pursuits, Jacob is trained as a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician. Recently, Jacob relocated to Asheville North Carolina to continue to tend his calling in helping others find deep connection with nature. He is often found backpacking, whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, gardening, bird watching, tracking, and bow hunting.
