Trinity Alps Wilderness
Explore one of California's most breathtaking and least visited mountain ranges!
The stunning Trinity Alps Wilderness is a little-known range in Northern California with all of the amazing features of the Sierras, but with far more solitude.
The Trinity Alps are situated east of the Coastal Range and about 60 miles west of the town of Redding in Northern California. With far fewer visitors than Yosemite and other famous areas in the Sierras, the Trinity Alps are equally breathtaking but offer more solitude. With more than 600 miles of hiking trails and over 500,000 acres of pristine wilderness, the Trinity Alps offers a wonderland of hiking opportunities for adventurous travelers. Expect sharp, towering granite peaks; majestic, wildflower-laden meadows; alpine lakes nestled in glacial cirques; cascades and waterfalls; and diverse wildlife!
