Quincy grew up in the hustle and bustle of Chicago, but quickly learned the joys of life in nature while spending summers backpacking and canoeing through the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. Following years as a student in outdoor education, Quincy grew to be an avid outdoors person and has explored a variety of wild landscapes including Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, Southern Appalachia and the Yellowstone/Teton region.
While a student studying political science at the University of Southern California, Quincy took his passion and made it a profession, beginning to work summers as an outdoor educator for Camp Nebagamon and Adventure Treks. After graduation, he transitioned to full time seasonal work in the industry which led him across the United States and even internationally in Southeast Asia. Outside of guiding, Quincy loves to cook and bake as well a variety of outdoor pursuits including mountaineering, rock climbing, and mountain biking.
