Francisco was born and raised in Ohio, where he developed a love for the outdoors at an early age exploring the forests and rivers of the Midwest. After graduating from Miami University in 2007 with a degree in Marketing, he went on to work in Chicago, IL; Normandy, France; and Barcelona, Spain as a Logistics Broker. The fast paced life of sales just wasn’t cutting it and in 2014 he decided to sell almost all of his belongings and thru- hike the Appalachian Trail. A renewed love of life and adventure, and the confidence to tackle anything led him to complete the Triple Crown of long distance hiking; completing the Pacific Crest Trail in 2015 and the Continental Divide Trail in 2016. After moving to Asheville, NC to start a new life in the mountains, he knew that sharing his rediscovered passion for life and the outdoors as a backpacking guide was the only way to go.
