Catherine’s love for the great outdoors began at a young age when her parents sent her to summer camp to overcome her shyness. Growing up in the Midwest gave her lots of opportunities to pursue this passion by hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and sailing in local county and state parks. She attended Butler University and graduated with a finance degree, while studying abroad in 7 different countries. The pandemic pushed Catherine to take off in her van, seeing as many places as she could, ultimately landing in Northern Arizona. During her trip west, she realized how knowledge about the area makes for a much more enriching visit to a national park. This realization and her instilled dedication to helping others brought her to want to be a tour guide. She lives to share her knowledge of the special climate, wildlife & plants, geology, and history of the area to make guest’s visits even more enjoyable, educational, and memorable.
