Kyle O.
Kyle was born and raised in New England. During his early career, studying neuroscience and researching in the Boston area, he found that he spent all of his time devising ways to leave the city. Often this meant exploring the White Mountains of New Hampshire. He spent most his free time hiking, skiing and biking in the region, and decided he’d rather explore the wilderness than continue his career as a researcher. In 2017 he made the decision to leave the city and hike the Appalachian Trail. The thru-hike solidified his desire to make a living in the outdoors, so he headed west to guide primitive backpacking trips with at-risk youth. He taught shelter building, wood carving, fire making and rock climbing in the Utah desert. When he isn’t guiding you’ll find Kyle skiing, mountain biking or rock climbing wherever the weather is cooperating.
