Please Note: We always do everything in our power to follow the set itinerary, however it can change occasionally based on temporary access restrictions, weather, lodging/campground availability, guest ability/injury, natural events like fires and flooding, and other potential causes. Day 1
Shuttle: 2 hours
Your guide will pick you up at the Fairfield Inn and Suites Fresno Airport Hotel, and we will make our way directly to the Fresno Dome, our rock climbing home for two days of this week. Your guide(s) will get you outfitted with a harness, climbing shoes, helmet and more. Then, after an orientation on the basics of climbing, you’ll get up on the rock! The climbing days are tailored specifically for your group, so it will be what you want it to be. Once your group has had your fill for the day, we will head to our campsite, set up camp and relax over a delicious dinner prepared by your guide(s).
Day 2
Shuttle: 80 minutes each way
Hiking Distance: 6 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 3,000 feet
Today we will have a quick breakfast and enjoy a scenic drive along the shores of the Merced River into Yosemite Valley. Our hike is two of Yosemite’s most dramatic and famous waterfalls: Vernal and Nevada Falls. Our hike makes a big loop, provides stunning views of Half Dome and the granite towers of Yosemite Valley, and takes us along part of the famous John Muir Trail. After our hike we’ll return to camp for another delicious dinner and relaxing evening.
Day 3
Shuttle: 45 minutes each way
On the third day of our Yosemite rock climbing and hiking adventure we’ll return to Fresno Dome to take our climbing to a higher level. Again, the day will be tailored to the desires of your group. For more ambitious groups, one possibility today is to embark on a multi-pitch ascent of the dome, which takes us up 600 feet of vertical climbing.
Day 4
Shuttle: 80 minutes
Hiking Mileage: 10.2 miles
Elevation Gain/Loss: 2540 feet
Shuttle to Fresno: 2 hours
Today we will break camp and return to Yosemite to climb one of the Valley’s iconic granite domes, Half Dome’s northerly sibling, the spectacular North Dome. Our hike starts above the Valley at a normally quiet trailhead and heads south through a pristine Lodgepole Pine forest. After only a few miles we will enjoy a rejuvenating break at Indian Arch, an arch-shaped rock that provides breathtaking views of the mountains that surround us. From Indian Arch we will descend down onto the top of North Dome where we will enjoy a picnic lunch with out-of-this-world, 360-degree views of Yosemite Valley and the surrounding mountain peaks as our backdrop. After snapping lots of photos and soaking up the views, we will complete our hike back to the trailhead, then return to Fresno for the termination of our Yosemite adventure.

On our camping tours we hand pick wonderful campgrounds that put us right in the action for exceptional hiking and camping vacations. They may be national park, state park, or private vehicle-accessible campgrounds. They may vary by trip date depending on availability and seasonality.
FANTASTIC MEALS
8-11 MEALS
Camping trips include meals for the duration of the tours beginning with breakfast the first day through lunch the final day. Meals are prepared by your guide(s) using fresh ingredients, exclusive Wildland recipes, and we adhere to all department of health outdoor cooking codes.
Trip Logistics & FAQs
Where Do We Meet?
You’ll meet your guide will pick you up from the Fairfield Inn and Suites Fresno Airport Hotel in Fresno, CA the morning the trip begins (pick-up in Mariposa or Oakhurst are additional options). Your guide will be in contact approximately 10 days before your trip and will specify the exact location of the rendezvous at that point.

Start/End Times
Your guide will notify you of the pick-up time when they contact you approximately 10 days before the trip begins. Normall pick-up in Fresno is between 6 and 8 am. The exact time will depend on current weather and road conditions. We will be done on the final day by 5 PM.
Safety Precautions
Your safety is our top priority. Our rock climbing adventures are led by professional climbing guides certified by the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), all of whom are also wilderness-certified first responders or EMT’s, each with years of guiding and wilderness experience. Guides adhere to standardized risk management protocols in case of any potential or actual incident, and all tours carry an emergency communication device and comprehensive first-aid kit. Additionally we have a “24/7” system through which guides or guests can reach Wildland support personnel at any time.
