Iconic Yosemite Day Tour
Day Hike Tours
1 Day 4 mi/6.4 kmTrip Highlights
Experience the iconic wonders of Yosemite National Park! This tour is an all-encompassing journey through Yosemite Valley. Our first stop is famous Tunnel View, where you’ll have ample time to take in the dramatic views, snap photos, and see why this is one of the most famous valleys in the world. From this amazing vantage point we can see the expanse of Yosemite Valley, including El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridalveil Fall.
Our next stop is Curry Village, the centerpiece of the Valley. From here we embark on the longest hike of the day to gorgeous Mirror Lake (2 miles). Along this trail and at the lake, we will savor views of Half Dome, Tenaya Canyon and Mount Watkins.
Your guide will take you to a local cafe for lunch (lunch not provided). After lunch, we’ll hike to the spraying mists of Lower Yosemite Falls, which about 1 mile round trip. No visit to Yosemite is complete without an experience of Yosemite Falls, which drops a dramatic 2,425 feet from top to bottom! After the falls we’ll visit our final highlight: a vast meadow for awe-inspiring views of the towering granite walls of El Capitan! We’ll watch for climbers high up on the 3,000′ walls and learn about fascinating geological history of the Valley, before heading back to Mariposa.

Weather in the Sierras
Being a high mountain environment, the Sierra Nevada Mountains are prone to sudden temperature and weather shifts. This is an exciting aspect of being in the mountains. On trips in June, snow is a possibility, and the rest of the summer rain is always a possibility on your trip. To be fully prepared, please follow the recommended clothing list closely (this list comes as part of your trip packet when you register). See below for average summer temperatures:
