Our Yellowstone Snowshoe Traverse is an opportunity to explore and enjoy the truly majestic winter beauty of Yellowstone National Park on foot. We’ll embark on four or five days of showshoeing through vast, snow-covered meadows to geysers, frozen waterfalls, and wildlife areas. Each evening we’ll return to cozy national park lodges for showers, relaxation and hearty meals!
Included in the trip cost is your lodging, all your meals, local transportation, gear and a professional Yellowstone guide. We take care of nearly everything so you can relax and soak it all in! Come join us for an unforgettable snowshoe tour in America’s first national park!

New reservations on this trip within 45 days of trip start date are highly unlikely due to Yellowstone National Park’s lodging cancellation policies. It’s highly recommended to book at least 46 days in advance!

- be comfortable hiking 6-8 miles per day in hilly or mountainous terrain with occasional breaks

We rate our Yellowstone winter tours a solitude 4. You can expect hours of solitude at a time, particularly on our longer ski/snowshoe forays.

The standard departure location for this trip is Jackson Hole, Wyoming (or alternatively the nearby towns of Victor and Driggs, Idaho). Most of the travel information on this page is geared toward these locations.

Montana and Wyoming do not charge sales tax on services, so there is no sales tax for this trip.
All trips in Yellowstone National Park have a 5% fee required by the National Park Service. This fee is applied when your reservation is made and is passed through directly to the national park.
