Katie Young

Katie grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada in a small town called Twain Harte. From a young age she started rock climbing and backpacking with her family and quickly gained a deep love for the wilderness and the adventures it offered. She left the mountains for the beach and attended the University of California Santa Barbara. During her 4 years at UCSB she was on staff for an outdoor club that further cultivated her passion for being an outdoor leader with other talented individuals. Once she graduated she couldn’t resist returning to the mountains, so she moved back near home to live in Yosemite for a season. While law school is a potential future dream she is thriving in the guiding lifestyle and loves sharing her knowledge of the outdoors with others.
