We seek out career-minded guides with extensive personal and professional wilderness experience, as well as hard skills and certifications. Our hiking and backpacking tours are all-inclusive so guests can relax and focus 100% on enjoying their vacation. We provide gear; local transportation (with a few exceptions); meals; necessary permits; reservations and fees; natural and cultural history interpretation and more!
Small Group Tours
Small Group Tours
What we're most interested in is showing our guests the magic of the backcountry. When possible, we prefer to get our groups not only far away from roads and crowds, but even off hiking trails. This type of intimate wilderness travel is most conducive to small groups, with often max of 5 or 6 guests, and at most 12.

We know well that among people who love to hike, there is a wide range of preference in terms of the type of hiking and/or accommodations on a trip. With backpacking trips, llama treks, portered trips, inn-based tours, camping-based tours and day hikes, we offer the ability to hand-pick your personal preferences.
Guided Hiking Adventures Since 2005
Steve Cundy, Scott Cundy, and Brad Ball founded Wildland Trekking in 2005 out of Brad's garage. Since that fateful year we have accommodated more than 75,000 guests, built a team of nearly 200 staff, and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for conservation.
