This trip has long days of hiking with significant elevation changes (3,000+ ft is not unusual, with the largest gain being 3,675 ft in one day), but we’re carrying light day packs on moderately rugged trails with very comfortable night-time accommodations. 2 years agoExtraordinary Adventure with Exceptional Guides
My wife and I had an incredible time on this expansive trek through the German, Austrian and Italian Alpine regions. The actual trekking component of the trip began near the famous Schloss Newshwanstein (the "Disney Castle") and ended with an epic day in Tre Cine Natural Park in the Dolomites. The routes were exceptional, blending challenge with reward on a regular basis, providing a fair amount of solitude for the group over much of the trek, and allowing us to experience numerous epic vistas and valleys. Our guides, Chris and Willy, were both great company and fantastic facilitators for the group, leaving us feeling well-cared-for and empowered in equal measure. Lodgings and food were great, and the logistics associated with moving the group so far so quickly were seamless and efficient. A truly rewarding experience on all fronts, highly recommended for those seeking a longer and more immersive adventure vacation than most others we've experienced.
