In the northwest corner of Yellowstone National Park, the trekking is extraordinarily rewarding. This trip is very well suited for families looking for a great 3-day Yellowstone adventure and yet still caters to the those looking to challenge themselves. Dailey Creek is where our trek begins. We will literally cross the Yellowstone border together as we hike through the meadows and valleys of the West Slope. We will pass Lava Butte and even get to see some historic cabins along the trail. We will stay at a beautiful riverside campsite for two nights.
The highlight of this trip is the trek to the stunning Big Horn Peak that overlooks the Sky Rim, Tom Miner Creek and is on the crest of the park border. We literally hike border to border in the western region of the park in just three days. There are gorgeous meadows and pine forest canopies that are rich with wildflowers and wildlife. We almost always see wildlife on this 3-day journey. It is not something you want to miss!
